Brothers - The brothers are located in the Tomb of the Unknown King. This is optional,

Odin- You must search out Odin's lair inside the Centra Ruins and defeat him if you want him
to join your cause. Odin is not a controllable GF. Once he joining you, he'll randomly appear at the start of about 1 in every
10 battles (except boss fights). Riding through the battlefield on his mighty steed, Odin uses his sword Zentetsuken to cut
your enemies in two. This attack kills all enemies on the battlefield.
Phoenix- You can only summon
Phoenix by using a Phoenix Pinion during a battle. When the Phoenix appears, it revives any KOed characters and restores some
of their HP. Phoenix Pinions are hard to come by, but once youve summoned Phoenix there is a random chance that it will appear
again later when your party is in trouble.
Boko the Chocobo- Chocobos are back in Final Fantasy VIII.
And once again you can summon a Chocobo to aid you in battle. You won't be able to do this until you've solved a puzzle in
at least one of the many Chocobo Forests scattered around the world. During a battle, use a Gysahl Green to lure the Chocobo
into attacking your enemies.
MiniMog- MiniMog is more of GF ability than a GF. By using Mog's Amulet,
you can teach a GF the MiniMog ability, When called upon, MiniMog will perform a dance that restores all of your GFs HP. This
is great to have at the end of the game when Bosses actually begin targeting GFs. Each time you use MiniMog in battle, it'll
cost you Gil. The amount varies based on your character's average level times 100 Gil.
Moomba- Moombas
are decent fighters due to their massive paws and razor-sharp claws, but it sure doesn't seem like fighting is the first thing
they have on their minds. You can call upon a Moomba by using a Friendship item in battle.
Gilgamesh-
Near the end of Disc Three, Gilgamesh will appear if you already have Odin at that point. Gilgamesh is a lot like Odin in
that you can't control him and he appears randomly. The biggest difference is that Gilgamesh can appear at any point during
a battle (even Boss fights). What happens depends on which of his four sword attacks he selects:

Extremely strong attack against all enemies

attack against all enemies

Causes 1 point of damage to each enemy
